In any case, you should always be making regular backups of your character files and world files, especially before installing any mods, playing a multiplayer game (whether you are hosting or not) or you decide to move your characters and worlds to the Steam Cloud (which is *not* recommended, BTW). If the files show up in the search results, you can then right-click on each file and select "Open File Location." That should take you to wherever your files have been placed so you can transfer them back to their respective folders. If you can't find your files anywhere in the Terraria folder, put the names of your characters and worlds in the searchbar in Windows Explorer. This player editor is fully combustible and it can give the desired look to your character. Or maybe those files were already transferred and you are looking in the old folders instead. invbak extension is what you want to restore. TML if you want to play together it is not possible for vanilla users to play with TML users. Check your Terraria folder for a folder named "ModLoader" and look in that folder for your character files and world files. If after editing your inventory, you notice issues in game, do the following: In your player save folder ( C:UsersUserNameDocumentsMy GamesTerrariaPlayers for example ), upon saving, there will be a bunch of files. This community-made mod requires that you own Terraria. One might want to use the editor in landscape mode on Mobile so that interface elements are not chopped up. When you download tModLoader, it creates a second set of folders for your character files and world files. Browse > On My (device) > Terraria > Players.
